The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which enters into force on 25 May 2018, replaces the European Data Protection Directive 95/46 / EC and aims to harmonize data protection laws in Europe in order to protect the confidentiality of data of EU citizens and to strengthen and reorganize the way organizations in the region tackle data confidentiality.
