US Shipping Methods

EXPEDITED:

This shipping method does not use just one carrier.  With this shipping method the package can be sent out by either UPS SurePost, Golden State Overnight (GSO), Lasership, UPS 2Day or by UPS Ground.  The system will determine the carrier for this shipping method based upon four factors:

1. Warehouse – What warehouse is the package being shipped from?
   1. RV - Offers, GSO, UPS Ground, UPS Surepost, UPS 2-Day
   2. KY - Offers, UPS Ground, UPS Surepost, UPS 2-Day
   3. BR - Offers, Lasership, UPS Ground, UPS Surepost, UPS 2-Day
2. Zip Code – Where is the package being shipped?
   1. RV - West Coast Areas
   2. KY - Central Areas 
   3. BR - East Coast Areas
3. Weight – The heavier packages will be shipped by regular UPS, GSO or Lasership
4. Value of the Order – The more expensive orders will be shipped by regular UPS, GSO or Lasership
   1. For orders over $400, we may ask for a signature at time of delivery. 

Expedited is currently free for orders that are valued over $20.  This obviously makes it our most popular choice for our US Customers.  This shipping method normally delivers to the customer within 2-5 business days.

However, this shipping method does have its limitations.  It is not available for customers with a PO Box, APO or FPO address, and most of the US Territories.  The only US Territory it is currently available to is Puerto Rico.

Note - We cannot change the shipping address for UPS Surepost option. Once the order is shipped depending on where it is in the process of being delivered any other option can be modified if within the same city and state. It would cost too much to change it out of the same city and state. Also, if needed we can recall these packages and ask the customer to reorder to the correct address. 

TWO-DAY UPS:

This shipping method uses the carrier UPS.  UPS will pick up the package from iHerb and deliver it directly to the customer within 2 business days. Please note that UPS does not pick up or deliver on weekends.  The cost of this shipping method is based upon the value of the order as well as the shipping weight of the items.  Unfortunately, this shipping method is not available to all Zip codes in the US. For example, if you live in Perris, CA this option will not be available as the delivery will be completed through the Expedited option within 2 days or less anyways.  It is also not available for customers with a PO Box, APO or FPO address and most of the US Territories. 

Note - Once the order is shipped depending on where it is in the process of being delivered any other option can be modified if within the same city and state. It would cost too much to change it out of the same city and state. Also, if needed we can recall these packages and ask the customer to reorder to the correct address.

 NEXT-DAY UPS:

This shipping method uses the carrier UPS.  UPS will pick up the package from iHerb and deliver it the very next business day before 10:30 in the morning. Please note that UPS does not pick up or deliver on weekends, so if it is shipped on a Friday it will not deliver to the customer until Monday. The cost of this shipping method is based upon the value of the order as well as the shipping weight of the items.  It is also not available for customers with a PO Box, APO or FPO address, and all US Territories.  

Note - Once the order is shipped depending on where it is in the process of being delivered any other option can be modified if within the same city and state. It would cost too much to change it out of the same city and state. Also, if needed we can recall these packages and ask the customer to reorder to the correct address. Due to the fast delivery on this option, we need to submit these requests as soon as possible to UPS. 

PO BOX/APO/FPO ADDRESS:

This shipping method is actually UPS SurePost.  UPS SurePost is a unique shipping carrier option that iHerb uses because it actually uses two different carriers for the delivery process.  UPS will pick up the package from iHerb and instead of delivering it directly to the customer will, in turn, deliver the package to the local USPS distribution hub.  Then, the United States Postal Service will be in charge of final delivery to the customer.  Packages will be traceable through the UPS SurePost website as well as the USPS website once the package is handed off to them.  This shipping method is limited to orders that weigh less than 9 pounds and the order value is less than $80.  USPS is the only carrier that can deliver to APO or FPO addresses.  If a customer has a PO BOX or APO Address they will need to use this shipping method.  

NOTE - The time frame provided to the customer for this option indicates it can take up to 4 weeks. If the PO Box is in the contiguous 48 states it will not take this long. However, for all the US Territories, Alaska, and Hawaii and APO/FPO address, it can take up to 4 weeks for the delivery to be completed.
